FAQ

We are here to answer all your questions. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions patients have about dentistry and oral health issues.  If you have any other questions, or would like to schedule an appointment, we would love to hear from you.

Are Regular Dental Cleanings Necessary?

Here at Booneville General Dentistry, we know how busy life can be. Fitting a dental appointment into a busy schedule can feel like a hassle, but it’s worth it. Brushing for two minutes twice a day and flossing daily will keep many oral health problems away; however, it’s not a complete guarantee. Scheduling regular cleanings at BGD is highly recommended to maintain proper oral hygiene and catch problems before they become costly and painful.

What is a Dental Cleaning Like At Booneville General Dentistry?

Twice-yearly cleanings are recommended for proper oral hygiene. An appointment at Booneville General Dentistry will include the following:

  • A complete oral examination.

  • Oral cancer exam.

  • Professional x-rays to catch cavities (once per year)

  • In-house CT scans every 3-5 years according to patient needs

  • Thorough cleaning by our excellent hygienists.

Your cleaning will remove tartar, debris, and plaque from your mouth.

Our dentists will coordinate with your hygienist and recommend a treatment plan for any problems. We’ll also recommend any aesthetic and cosmetic treatments to improve your smile.

Please call us at 662-728-2123 to schedule an appointment or if you have any additional questions.

What Age Should I Bring My Child To See The Dentist?

Unless other problems arise, we recommend bringing children in to see us at age 3. At 3 years, children are able to receive full teeth cleaning and exam.

What Should I Do In Case of A Dental Emergency?

If a dental emergency occurs outside of our regular office hours, you may still call our office number at 662-728-2123 and your call will be forwarded to an on-call associate. You may be subject to an after hours fee.
